Little House Day
Next year’s Little House Day will be on Sept. 9, 2023.
Learn about the Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House stories through the setting of a beautiful 1878 Idaho Log cabin that is open for tours until 8 p.m, in order to spread visitors throughout the day. But arrive around 1:00 p.m. for the most fiddling music by Alan Chidester and Nancy Holmes. John Elwood, Dulcimer and Jeanne McHale Piano. Nez Perce Historical Park Ranger will demonstrate a tipi. For those who would like a tour description, I will be providing these throughout the day.
An Ice Cream Social and Little House Interpretive day, linking with Idaho stories…. and a Log cabin with artifacts. The Historical Farmhouse dated c.1873-1904, is also Open for tours.
Many of the Little House stories also have parallel stories right here in Idaho with our pioneers. Sponsored by Idaho Humanities Council, Latah Arts & Culture and Genesee Recreation District grants. Donations are welcome, to keep this all going! Come early for WSU Ice Cream and Music

Brush Clearing
What the woods look like in one corner where the snowdrops are blooming, the brush was cleared and the path laid out. Thank you University of Idaho, WSU CCE, and many others.
Weekend Volunteers
WSU was here today in full force, the last weekend before finals. Thanks so very much! Burning brush, linseed in the 1898 barn, and transcribing 40-100 year old letters written in cursive into print for future books.
